Karen Barrick - Housekeeping
Karen began cleaning the Camp in 1984, and just can't seem to get done! Karen's never-ending routine of sweeping, dusting, mopping, emptying trash, and picking-up after a camp-full of kids has been a service to the Lord and a great blessing for every camper and guest that visits our facility. Originally from Vanwert, OH, Karen moved to Pennsylvania after marrying her husband, Tim. They have two adult sons, Josh and Caleb. Karen is an active member of the Plainfield Church of God where she teaches Sunday School, coordinates Pioneer clubs, organizes VBS and serves on the kitchen committee. In her free moments, Karen reads, walks, plays volleyball, and enjoys riding her bike on the C & O Canal. You will be sure to recognize Karen, just look for her friendly smile or the red & white 'Buckeye' sweatshirt!
Bryan Eichelberger - Head Cook
Bryan brought his love for cooking and a big smile to Camp in 1999. Bryan's job as head cook is to keep the kitchen running smoothly and prepare good, home-style meals that get served right on schedule. As much as cooking, Bryan enjoys working with the other Camp staff and getting to know many of the regular volunteers and guests that visit Doubling Gap during the year. Bryan and his wife, Dee, live in Carlisle with two of their children; Bradley and Brittany. He's a big fan of Steeler football, Philly baseball, and has helped coach his kids' little league and soccer teams.
